Unlucky "Ligue 2": A. Elis collided heads with another player and is in an artificial coma

On Saturday, a major tragedy occurred in the "Ligue 2" championship.

In the match between "Bordeaux" and the home team of "Guingamp", the player Alberth Elis collided heads with "Guingamp" player Donatien Gomis.

After the incident, the ball was in play for about 10 more seconds. Later, the "Bordeaux" player received medical assistance.

After eight minutes, A. Elis was taken off the field, and later, in the hospital, he was induced into an artificial coma, as reported by the French media. However, the player was conscious, but a severe head injury forced the medics to make this decision.

Despite the serious injury to the 28-year-old Honduran striker, the match continued. The "Bordeaux" footballers won with a score of 1:0.
