Belgium national team defender Thomas Vermaelen is most likely to continue his career in the "Serie A" championship.
Barcelona officially announced that they have allowed the 30-year-old player to undergo a medical examination at the "Roma" team.
It should be reminded that the experienced player moved to Catalonia in 2014 when Barcelona did not hesitate to pay 20 million euros for him from the "Arsenal" club.
However, Th. Vermaelen's career did not go well in the "La Liga" championship - due to a serious injury, he played only one Spanish league match in his first year against "Deportivo", and last season he played only 15 games in all competitions.
With the addition of Frenchman Samuel Umtiti to Barcelona, there is simply no room for Vermaelen on the team anymore.
