After the defeat of Panevėžys "Ekranas" in the UEFA Europa League qualifying round against "Hapoel," the head coach of the team, Valdas Urbonas, stated that after conceding the second goal, the team had to try to take risks, but the opponents took advantage of defensive mistakes and earned a deserved victory.

After the match, V. Urbonas spoke at the press conference:
"First of all, congratulations to the 'Hapoel' team for advancing to the next stage of the Europa League. We wanted to maintain the result of the first match, but there are different things: to want and to do. The second goal changed the situation: we had to strengthen the attacking line, we changed the defender cautiously. We tried to seek success on 'Hapoel's' side of the field. The final result is what it is.
'Hapoel' is a stronger team. They managed to equalize the overall result in the first half, and later overturn it in the second. Everything you saw on the field indicates each team's capabilities. 'Hapoel' is a well-assembled team that has experience playing in the group stages of European tournaments. I think the team has capable players who can achieve good results in the group stage matches."
