Unfortunately, Uruguay ended their tournament performance by beating Ghana 2-0 in their last match, but due to a worse goal difference, they lost out to South Korea.
Ghana had a golden opportunity to take the lead in the 21st minute, but Andre Ayew missed a penalty kick.
The victory for the Uruguayan team was sealed by two goals from Giorgian de Arrascaeta.
For a long time, it seemed Uruguay would have enough with a victory by a two-goal margin, however, South Korea expanded their lead against Portugal in the final moments of the match and then it became clear that the Uruguayans needed one more precise shot.
The final whistle of the referee confirmed Uruguay's victory by two goals, meaning the tournament ended for both teams playing in this match.
