Diego Forlan is turning a new page in his career - the Uruguayan football legend begins his coaching career.
On Friday evening, it was officially confirmed that the 40-year-old Uruguayan is taking over the reins of his country's team "Penarol." He will lead the team at least until the end of the season.
D. Forlan has had no coaching experience so far - he only announced the end of his football career in August of this year.
"Penarol" lost the country's champions title last year, which they surrendered to their closest rival, the "National" club.
D. Forlan played for the "Penarol" team in the 2015-16 season.
The Club Atletico #Peñarol welcomes Diego Forlán as the new head coach of the first team.
