Last weekend Valdas Dambrauskas' led Split's „Hajduk“ team lost important points in the battle for the Croatian champions title, but a week later the team managed to recover. On Friday, „Hajduk“ footballers defeated Zagreb's „Hrvatski Dragovoljac“ team 2:1 at home. At the beginning of the match, a goal from Nikola Kaliničiaus put the Split team in the lead, but in the beginning of the second half, the visitors from Zagreb equalized. In the 87th minute, V. Dambrauskas' proteges managed to secure important 3 points. The decisive goal was scored by Marko Livaja. After this victory, "Hajduk" reduced the gap with Zagreb's „Dinamo“ to 3 points, but the competitors in the first place of the table have played one game less than the Lithuanian Split club. The next "Hajduk" match will be a friendly one against Donetsk's „Shakhtar“ team for a noble cause, supporting Ukraine.
