V. del Bosque promises revival of the national team, but does not intend to inject fresh blood

The Spanish national team is determined to stand up and become a threat to all the world's teams again.

European champions coach Vicente del Bosque hopes that his players will recover after the fiasco in Brazil, when they lost 1-5 to the Dutch and 0-2 to the Chileans.

"The wound is still bleeding, but we must look to the future. The Spanish federation never doubted the extension of my contract, as six years outweighed one unsuccessful match. I understand the fans perfectly, they attack both the coach and the team in case of defeat," said the Spaniard.

The specialist opposes proposals to rejuvenate the team.

"I will not make any changes among the 23 players. Maybe we overestimated ourselves, but we tried our best. These are incomparable players, heroes who fought for what we have now."
