V. Del Bosque resigns from the Spanish national team

The Spanish national team will have a new coach - 65-year-old Vicente Del Bosque confirmed that he is finishing his work with the national team.

In France, the battles of the 2016 European Championship continue, but the champions of the previous tournament are no longer there. Spain withdrew from the competition to defend their title after losing 0-2 to Italy in the quarterfinals.

"I have no intention of staying in the Spanish national team," the coach told local radio.

V. Del Bosque took over as the coach of the Spanish national team after the 2008 European Championship. With the "golden" generation of the Spanish national team, the coach managed to win the World Cup in 2010, and two years later, they also claimed the European Championship.

The football specialist wanted to retire from the national team after the unsuccessful 2014 World Cup, but he was convinced to stay by the country's football federation. It seems that this time they will no longer need to persuade the coach, and Spain will have a new coach.

According to the Spanish media, the main candidate to take over the team is former "Porto" coach Julen Lopetegui.
