V. Lindelof stood up for Jose Mourinho: "I couldn't say anything bad about him"

Victor Lindelof has become a strong defensive pillar in the team of "Manchester United," which was greatly lacking for the "Red Devils."

The Swede, who played solidly at the World Cup in Russia, was later recognized as the best player of the year in his country in 2018, and this season he is one of the main figures in the "Manchester United" defensive line.

V. Lindelof was invited to Manchester by Jose Mourinho. According to the Swede, he couldn't say anything bad about the former coach and is grateful to him for the opportunity to come to England.

"I will always be grateful to Jose, because he was the one who invited me here. I couldn't say anything bad about him. He wanted to bring in new defenders, but that's normal. I like competition and it forces you to improve," said Lindelof in an interview with the "Daily Mail."

Victor Lindelof was often called another failed player in the team, but, according to him, it doesn't affect him.

"When we play poorly and concede goals, defenders are always criticized. Some people may like you, some may not, but it has never been a problem for me. I know people talked about me, but I didn't pay attention to it.

No one criticizes me as much as I do myself. People have the right to speak. It's always nice to change their opinion," said Lindelof.

This season, the defender played 29 matches in the ranks of "Man Utd" and scored one goal.
