Panevėžio "Ekranas" arrived in the Irish capital Dublin on Monday morning. During the day, the team rested in the hotel and in the evening held a training session at the "Tallaght" stadium, where they will start their matches in the UEFA Champions League on Tuesday at 22:00 Lithuanian time.
Defender Vytautas Lukša, capable of playing in both positions, shared his thoughts on the team's prevailing mood and on the Irish champions "Shamrock Rovers" team after the training session.
"The mood is good. All the guys are ready to fight, focused, and waiting for Tuesday's match. I think it will be an even game, with chances at 50-50. They play more of that British-style football based on strength, and we will try to fight. I don't think they are of a higher level than us. We just need to go out on the field with focus and give it our all.
Maybe a small advantage is that the second match is at home. It is important now not to miss any goals. The second leg at home will determine everything," Vytautas Lukša said after the training session.
Just a reminder - the match on Tuesday starts at 22:00 Lithuanian time, and the return leg will be exactly a week later, on July 24th, at 20:00 at the "Aukštaitija" stadium.
