"Milan" coach Vincenzo Montella hinted that he hopes to attract not only Andrea Belotti but also Alvaro Morata.
The fact that the "rossoneri" are interested in the "Torino" striker was recently confirmed by the club's director Gianluca Petrachi, and according to reports in the Spanish media, they are leading the race for the signature of the Real Madrid forward.
It is expected that "Milan" will work on transfers properly this coming summer, as the club has finally been taken over by wealthy owners and hopes to return to the elite of Europe.
"It was a positive year, but if the sponsors could have put in a little more effort, we could have acquired more top-level players and further improved," Montella joked at first.
"Morata and Belotti complement each other. They are very strong players and would compete well together. Many good players want to come and represent "Milan," which is an important starting point," the coach responded more seriously.
"We are a club that also enjoys great players despite not playing in the Champions League next season."
"In order to reach the Champions League, we need to raise the bar and strengthen the squad to compete with the strongest psychologically and physically in all tournaments," he added.
During this season in the "Serie A" championship, "Milan" finished in seventh place.
