"Milan" club, which was officially taken over by a consortium of Chinese businessmen yesterday, expressed support for coach Vincenzo Montella.
"Rossoneri Sport Investment Lux" acquired as much as 99.9 percent of the shares of the "fashion capital" club and paid 740 million euros for it.
Although Montella himself previously mentioned that he is not sure about his future, "Milan" CEO Marco Fassone assured that they trust the strategist.
"Vincenzo has our full respect and support, which he has had since last June, when we decided to appoint him as the coach of AC Milan," Fassone said.
The director also hinted at the possibility of significant additions to the team during the upcoming transfer window, as the "rossoneri" hope to return to the UEFA Champions League in just one season.
Currently, they are in seventh place in the Serie A standings.
