"Milan" coach Vincenzo Montella spoke after the defeat in the "fashion capital" derby, saying that criticism is inevitable and one must come to terms with it.
"Rossoneri" spent a mountain of money during the offseason and acquired as many as 10 new players, but with three failures in the "Serie A" championship, they are currently in tenth place.
However, the strategist is not panicking at all.
"When things go in a bad direction, everyone is to blame. We must accept criticism even if it is exaggerated," Montella said at a press conference.
"The club has made decisions focused on the present, but even more oriented towards the future."
"Aside from a few losses, everything is going according to plan, for which I take responsibility. If those failures had not occurred, we would be talking about a balanced situation."
"I constantly observe a better quality of play. It takes time to do these things, and our situation confirms that."
"We have players who can and must grow, and that is a good foundation for improvement."
Tomorrow, "Milan" players will play a UEFA Europa League match against AEK Athens.
