Marijampolės "Sūduvos" football club president Vidmantas Murauskas hopes that fans will be able to attend the team's first matches against "Kauno Žalgiris" after the season restart. The matches will be played on June 1st at 18:00, and the decision to support the plan to increase the number of Cultural event participants (spectators) was made during a government meeting on Wednesday. According to this plan, up to 300 people will be able to attend events in open spaces starting from June 1, with a distance of 1 meter between them.
"I hope that the same regulations will be applied to sports events in the near future," said V. Murauskas. According to the government-approved plan, the number of participants in cultural events in open spaces will gradually increase. From June 16 - up to 500, from July 1 - up to 700, and from July 16 - up to 900.
"If we are allowed to hold football matches with spectators, all seats in the stadium will be reserved for 'Sūduva' season ticket holders and VIP cardholders, who also have to pay in our club. Unfortunately, not all of our most loyal fans will be able to attend the first matches, but together we would look for a solution to resolve the situation in the best way," said "Sūduva" football club president V. Murauskas.
