V. Valdesas lost his job in the "Barcelona" youth team

"Barcelona" dismissed Victor Valdes from the position of head coach of the club's U-19 team. He worked in this position for three months.

"Marca" reports that the coach lost his job for several reasons. Firstly, V. Valdes did not find a common language with the club's youth football development director Patrick Kluivert - he refused to convert his favorite 4-4-2 playing scheme to the 4-3-3 formation used by all "Barca" teams.

In addition, V. Valdes often ignored meetings with coaches of the Catalonia club. Two painful defeats in the UEFA Youth League matches against Prague's "Slavia" (0:4) and Milan's "Inter" (0:3) did not add any positives for him.

37-year-old V. Valdes himself is a product of the "Barcelona" club system. In the Catalan team, he played from 2000 to 2014 and won 21 trophies during that time.

"Barcelona" informs that V. Valdes will be replaced by another Spaniard, Artiga Franca, as the head coach of the U-19 team.
