V. van Dijk comments on the referee's work: 'We know this is Everton's most important match of the year.'

Virgil van Dijk was open after the draw in the Liverpool derby (2:2). Although he didn't want to comment on the referee's performance, the Dutchman did comment on certain episodes.

The "Liverpool" captain said: "I told the referee that he is giving too many soft fouls in favor of "Everton". Meanwhile, the same fouls were not called for us. It's a bit unbelievable. Still, I'm not one to point fingers at the referee, so I won't do that."

Regarding the equalizing "Everton" goal, there was a slight push in the back. That's a foul that the referee whistles many times during the match, but this time it wasn't called."

V. van Dijk also added: "We knew what to expect. Still, this is the most important match of the year for "Everton".
