"Valencia" announced on the official club website that 51-year-old Marcelino will lead the team from the next season.
"The Bats" have been coached by Voro since January, but he was hired only until the end of the season. After this season, Voro will not stay with "Valencia", but will continue to form the coaching staff.
Experienced Marcelino was supposed to lead "Villarreal" this season, but just before the start of the season, the paths of the two sides unexpectedly parted ways and the coach has been unemployed since then.
Voro will continue to lead the remaining two "La Liga" matches. Marcelino, who has also coached "Sevilla" and "Sporting Gijon" in the past, will start his new job at the club in the summer.
"Valencia" currently holds the 13th position in the Spanish league.
