Four matches of the 36th round were played on Saturday in the Spanish "La Liga" championship.
Valencia suffered another defeat, the fifth in a row. The "Bats" were defeated by a minimal margin by the Villarreal team, but they will most likely still pop the champagne.
The winning goal of the match came at the very end, scored by Mario Gaspar.
This failure does not have much significance for the Valencia team anymore - they may not surpass Madrid's "Real" club, but they will not drop below the fourth position - the "Bats" will compete in the Champions League next season after a long break.
The admission to this tournament was guaranteed by the earlier defeat of Sevilla's "Real Betis". The Andalusians were defeated 0-2 by the Bilbao "Athletic" team.
The other two matches ended with a smashing victory for "Eibar" over "Girona" and a draw between Vigo's "Celta" and "Deportivo".
