Yesterday, Eindhoven club player Mark Van Bommel confirmed to the English media that next year he may represent a club playing in the English Premier League.

On April 22, the player celebrating his 27th birthday previously stated that he was interested in three clubs, but added that "he does not give preference to any of them." It is believed that this trio, in addition to Tottenham Hotspur, includes two German Bundesliga clubs - Schalke and Dortmund.

The Dutch national team defender spoke to the English newspaper "Daily Star": "Tottenham Hotspur is a 'sleeping giant.' The Premier League is a very strong league and I would really like to play in it."

"I know there were talks that I could play in Germany, but Spurs fans can rest easy - I want to play in England," the player said.
