The coach of the Spanish national team, Vicente Del Bosque, stated that there is a threat that the attacker of Madrid's 'Atletico', Diego Costa, may not appear in the 2014 World Cup.
Lately, the 25-year-old footballer has been troubled by an injury, which caused him to miss the UEFA Champions League final. The coach of the world champions is not sure if the player will be able to properly prepare for the tournament taking place in Brazil.
D. Costa is included in the list of 23 footballers who will go to the World Cup, however, the injury could jeopardize the Spaniard's hopes of appearing in the prestigious football tournament.
"I am not sure if Costa will be ready for the World Cup," Del Bosque told journalists. "There is still time, but now Diego Costa's health is in the hands of the doctors. We have to be cautious."
This season, the striker, born in Brazil, has demonstrated excellent athletic form and scored 36 goals in 51 matches played.
