"Ventspils" coach criticizes illumination in Tallinn © EuroFootball.com

After the incredible victory of 1-0 in the Baltic Football League match against Tallinn's "TVMK" on Tuesday, the head coach of Latvian champions "Ventspils", Roman Grigorchuk, complained about the lighting at the stadium in the Estonian capital.

"I am very dissatisfied with the conditions in Tallinn," Grigorchuk said. "You cannot play in the dark. It is unacceptable that one light blinks and the other simply dazzles the players. The quality of the pitch could have been better as well."

Last week, after the match in Tallinn, Vilnius "Žalgiris" head coach Arminas Narbekovas also mentioned the poor lighting.

"The league itself looks very promising, but as long as the conditions are like this, the tournament will not become prestigious," the "Ventspils" coach did not hesitate to criticize.

Speaking about his team's performance, Grigorchuk also used harsh words.

"I am not satisfied with Gonchar and Kolesnichenko's game. We gave Gonchar many opportunities to score, but he didn't take advantage of any," the coach angrily said. "I wanted to substitute Kolesnichenko in the fifteenth minute of the match, but we had a short bench of substitute players, so I didn't want to take the risk. He will have to play much better if he wants to keep his place in the team."
