The captain of the Catalonia club assured at the press conference that the only team he wants to play for is "Barcelona".
According to Carles Puyol, he plans to play football until he turns 40.
"My contract with 'Barcelona' is valid for three more seasons, but if possible, I would already agree to extend it for another two years. Then I will be 40 and I can hang up my boots. I do not want to go anywhere, 'Barcelona' is my club," assured the veteran.
The captain of "Barca" admitted that his last injury and knee surgery became a difficult psychological test for him.
"During rehabilitation, I even started thinking about the possibility of ending my professional career now. In the media, it was claimed that I planned to move to 'Milan', but there is no talk of it. I remain at 'Barca'. Now the most important thing is to prepare properly for the new season, as the surgery was really difficult. My knee was full of blood and fluids," said C. Puyol.
