In Turkey, on Saturday Vilnius "Vėtra" footballers, who are camping, played the first friendly match out of the four planned away games against Krasnodar's "Kuban" and suffered defeat with a score of 2-3.

"Vėtra" started the match excellently and already in the 3rd minute broke ahead. Dejan Milosheski sent the ball towards the goal with a long-range shot from a distance of 30 meters, and with no one touching the ball in the penalty area, it ended up in the opponent's net.
The Vilnius team led almost until the end of the first half, but just before the break "Kuban" managed to equalize the score - getting a pass from the flank, "Kuban" forward Robert Zebelianas headed the ball into the net. The first half ended in a draw 1-1.
At the start of the second half, "Vėtra" regained the lead again - with a precise shot from a distance of 18 meters, Vitalis Stankevičius sent the ball into the opponent's goal.
Unfortunately, the Vilnius team failed to maintain the lead. Attacking, "Vėtra" footballers carelessly lost the ball, and "Kuban" launched a very fast counterattack, which was finished with a precise shot by Brazilian Ricardo. Soon after, "Kuban" also broke ahead. In the 62nd minute, after a corner kick, Aleksandr Orekhov scored with a header.
The Vilnius team finished the match with a reduced lineup - in the 70th minute, Nerijus Sasnauskas received a red card and was sent off. "Vėtra" lost to "Kuban" with a score of 2-3 after a tough battle.
"Vėtra" coach Aleksandras Tarchanovas was satisfied with the team's performance, but not with the result: "Based on the game, we definitely didn't deserve to lose. We had the advantage in play - created many opportunities, controlled the ball for a long time. However, defensive errors led to our defeat. At times, there was a lack of discipline, we cannot make such childish mistakes, where a lost ball in attack costs us a goal in our own net. The strong lineup of the "Kuban" club did not forgive us for such mistakes."
