The company "Viaplay", which has been broadcasting the English Premier League, UEFA tournaments, and other major football matches in Lithuania, is finally officially withdrawing from the Baltic countries.
In a statement released on Thursday, it is stated that "Viaplay" will end its presence in the Baltic region on March 1.
However, football and other sports fans have also received good news. The platform "GO3" will take over all "Viaplay" broadcasting rights.
This means that this platform will have the rights to broadcast the matches of the Lithuanian national football team. It is also interesting to note that the Latvian Football Federation has already announced that their national team matches will return to a free channel. It is likely that the same can be expected for the matches of the Lithuanian national team as well.
The "Viaplay" content will be available until March 1, and then all rights will be finally taken over by "GO3".
