On Sunday, two more matches of the 33rd round were played in the English Premier League.
At the Etihad Stadium, supported by their fans, the Manchester City team clashed with the London West Ham club. After two consecutive defeats, Manuel Pellegrini's team bounced back and defeated the visitors with a score of 2-0.
The Man City players controlled the ball more throughout the match, but did not create many chances against their opponents. However, in the 18th minute, the first goal was scored into the West Ham goal, when James Collins scored an own goal.
The second goal also came in the first half. In the 36th minute, Jesus Navas made a pass to Sergio Aguero, and the latter defeated the opponents' goalkeeper and sealed the final score in this match.
In other matches, Tottenham defeated Newcastle 3-1 at home. The scorers for the winners were Nacer Chadli, Christian Eriksen, and Harry Kane.
After the victory, Tottenham climbed to 7th place with 57 points, one point ahead of Southampton in 8th place.
