Victory for "Šiauliai" with great goals in the semi-finals of the LFF Cup

On Sunday in Šiauliai the second participant of the LFF Cup final was determined.

Local team "Šiauliai" defeated "Kauno Žalgiris" 3:1 after extra time and advanced to the cup final.

The fantastic goals in the match were marked by Daniel Romanovskij. He scored with a long-range shot in the 27th minute to put the hosts in front.

In the 69th minute, Vilius Armanavičius equalized with a beautiful shot.

Towards the end of regular time, Arturas Dolžnikovas received a red card, which made it difficult for the visitors' chances. In extra time, goals by Sigitas Olberkis and Eligijus Jankauskas extended the victory for "Šiauliai".

After this defeat, the chances of "Kauno Žalgiris" to play in Europe next season are diminishing. They need to surpass "Hegelmann" in A League and hope for a victory by "Šiauliai" in the LFF Cup final.

The LFF Cup final will take place on October 1st at the Darius and Girėnas Stadium. The Šiauliai team will face the First League "TransINVEST" champions.
