Nemanja Vidic extended his contract with the club, thus finally dispelling rumors about a possible move to another team.

The 28-year-old Serb had been linked with AC Milan and Real Madrid.

However, the English vice-champions reached an agreement with Vidic for a new contract back in July, and the signatures were put on Saturday.
