Vieira denies hitting Lauren © EuroFootball.com

Yesterday captain Patrick Vieira told the press that he disagrees with the journalists' opinion that he and his teammate Lauren fought after the match.

The incident between these players occurred after the Champions League match against the club. The match ended with a score of 1 - 1.

The Frenchman downplayed the incident, saying: "Yes, there was a small argument between us. But all media claims that we fought are untrue."

"Lauren is a good friend of mine and we get along well. We discuss everything with him after the match."

"As the team captain, I can say that there is a very good atmosphere among the players and we get along very well."

Arsenal's head coach described the incident as a minor argument and did not comment on it extensively.

"If I asked you what arguments are happening in your family. Would you answer? No. You have to respect what happens in the club and it should not go beyond the club walls."

"Nothing special happened. The players were just fired up after the match. This is not the first such incident. I hope it's not the last either."
