Vieira: Referees' decisions favor "Man Utd" club © EuroFootball.com

One of the leaders Patrick Vieira claims that the referees in the English Premier League are favorable to the club.

The Manchester team is fighting for the first place in the standings, currently held by Man Utd. Sir Alex Ferguson's team gained a 1-0 advantage by defeating Fulham, but controversy arose when the referee decided not to award a penalty kick to Man Utd at the end of the match.

"When Man Utd plays at home, this team gains an advantage - others do not,- said the Frenchman. - The same goes when traveling to Madrid, Barcelona or Milan. It happens because these teams are used to winning. We need to win in order to be treated the same by the referees."

Vieira also said: "Since the start of the season, we have been playing the best football, so I think we deserve to win trophies. However, at the moment Man Utd has the advantage, so this club is the favorite."
