The team of "Villarreal" advanced to the final after playing a 0:0 draw with "Arsenal" away and securing a ticket to Gdansk after winning the first match. It is worth noting that the first game ended with a victory for the Spanish club with a score of 2:1.
"Villarreal" will face off against the footballers of "Manchester United" in the final, who, despite losing the second leg against "Roma" with a score of 2:3, won the series with an overall score of 8:5. "The Red Devils" led 1:0 after the first half - Edinson Cavani scored the only goal. At the beginning of the second half, "Roma" created chaos: goals were scored by Edin Džeko and Bryan Cristante, with David De Gea making several crucial saves for his team. E. Cavani equalized the score in the 68th minute. However, in the 83rd minute, Alex Telles directed the ball into his own net and "Roma" celebrated a symbolic victory in the second leg of the semifinals. The Europa League final will be played on May 26th.
