London strategist Andre Villas-Boas claims that in the upcoming season he will compete for the title of English champion.

"I think it's obvious that this will be a team that will compete for the title," the Portuguese said. "Of course, coach Roberto Mancini should talk about the goals, but I rate their signings positively.

This summer, Chelsea acquired several younger players such as Oriol Romeu and Thibaut Courtois, who will help fight for victories in the future.
