Vilnius Municipality will continue to allocate millions to 'Žalgiris'

After evaluating the application submitted by the club, the Vilnius City Municipality Administration approved support for "Žalgiris" for the next 3 years.

In the high-level sports project competition for the years 2025-2027, out of 48 applicants, "Žalgiris'" application was one of three that received the highest scores.

According to the project evaluators, the support allocated to "Žalgiris" will reach 1 million 464 thousand euros from 2025 (a total of 4 million 393 thousand euros over the 3-year period).

"The results of this competition are a significant recognition for our club's administration, staff, players, and sponsors who have worked hard for "Žalgiris" for several years. We are grateful to the Mayor of Vilnius and the Council for their trust, to the municipal administration for their cooperation, and to our fans and all the city residents for their support. At the same time, this is an obligation for us to maintain high standards and a significant motivation to continue the new projects we have started," said "Žalgiris" director Vilma Venslovaitienė.
