"FBK" appointed Valdas Ivanauskas as the new head coach of the team. He will replace Šanderis Giršovičius in the head coach position, who will most likely lead one of the "Kaunas" reserve teams. V. Ivanauskas will lead the club at least until the end of the season. V. Ivanauskas recently left the "Vėtra" club by mutual agreement. The reason for his departure was cited as personal family issues. The former footballer has been working as an assistant coach for the national team in recent years. "Kaunas" currently holds the first place in the A League, while "Vėtra" is in fifth position. The goal for the people of Kaunas this season is to clinch the first place in the Lithuanian championships."
