V.Kompany: Defeat to "Liverpool" wouldn't mean the end of the title race © EuroFootball.com

"Manchester City" captain Vincent Kompany believes that a loss to Liverpool would not mean the end of the "citizens'" fight for the English Premier League title.

The most anticipated match of the round will take place in Liverpool on Sunday. The team led by Brendan Rodgers, currently in first place, will seek to demonstrate their superiority against their rivals from Manchester at home.

"I think that in case of a defeat, we should still have opportunities to bounce back. Clearly, the winners of tomorrow's match would be favorites to become champions.

"If we lose, we will have more chances to correct our mistake, but if Liverpool lose - it will be more difficult for them to do so," said V. Kompany.

"To neutral viewers, these matches will be truly great. The Premier League is very competitive and in recent years, new teams have emerged aiming for the title of champions," added the defender.

Liverpool has 74 points in their account, while the Man City team has collected 70 points, but the reigning English vice champions have played two games less than the "reds".
