W. Mazzarri believes in T. Deeney's chances of making it to the national team.

"Watford" coach Walter Mazzarri believes that after a good start to the season, club captain Troy Deeney is ready to open the doors to the England national team.

The 28-year-old striker impressed in the last two consecutive matches, scoring against London's "West Ham" and "Manchester United".

In the upcoming World Cup qualifying matches next month, Sam Allardyce will certainly need to look at strikers, as Harry Kane has suffered an injury.

"I am proud and would be very happy if Deeney played for the national team", Mazzarri told the BBC.

"He has improved his physical form and is now much stronger. He is a good sniper - he just needs to take care of his form."

"I respect the England national team coach and his decision and I am optimistic, as I am talking about one of my players."

"However, the FA, with the help of an interpreter, can call me, even though they haven't done it yet."

So far this season, Deeney has scored twice in five matches. Last year he managed to score 13 goals.
