Soccer fans favorite striker Wayne Rooney is experiencing his second youth in the United States.
The 33-year-old Englishman shining in the MLS league has already helped his "D.C. United" team secure a spot in the playoffs.
It is not surprising that he has been linked with clubs from the Old Continent. There were reports that during the MLS offseason, several European teams would like to borrow the veteran.
Nevertheless, such plans contradict Rooney himself:
"No, I am committed to the 'D.C. United' club and determined to give everything for them. During the holidays, I will stay here and spend a lot of time with my kids who go to school. I will return to England for Christmas to see my relatives and friends," Rooney said.
In 19 matches, the veteran has scored 12 goals and made 7 assists.
