"Manchester United" captain Wayne Rooney, who will soon turn 30, believes that he still has a few more years in front of him during which he can play at the highest level.
The experienced Englishman played 12 matches and scored six goals in "The Red Devils" jersey this season. However, W.Rooney is no longer as aggressive in attack, but the striker is convinced that his last years have not yet come.
"I feel very good physically and, of course, the 30th birthday is special for everyone," the striker said. "But when it comes to me and football, I can say that I still feel young enough and I know that I have a few good years left."
"I have not had major muscle injuries in my career, I feel better than ever. I think I am not too old for football yet. Players know that there comes a time to retire, but I definitely have not reached that stage yet," the striker concluded.
W. Rooney started his professional career in 2002.
