A couple of weeks ago, ousted from the head coach position at "Birmingham City," Wayne Rooney continues to prove that not every excellent player is destined to become an unmatched strategist.
Now the 38-year-old Englishman will have to significantly improve to find a new station in his career, as so far his reputation as a specialist is at a very low level - his previous coaching experience at "Derby" and "DC United" clubs also did not show stunning results.
While the celebrity prepares for a new start, the portal "EuroFootball.com" decided to review the most memorable career moments of W. Rooney as a football player.
Even at the age of 13, the Englishman spent the most time at "Man Utd," where he won numerous significant awards, including five "Premier League" titles, one FA Cup, and trophies in Europe and the Champions League. W. Rooney scored 253 goals in 559 matches and is the all-time leading scorer for the "Red Devils" club.
Man Utd fans loved the player for many reasons: his world-class talent, exceptional determination, and selflessness on the football field.
He regularly found himself in the left-back position, tackling opponents' attackers, and then sprinting to the other end of the field to join the team's attack.

Shaven-headed W. Rooney was a real beast. In 2008, "Hull City" players George Boateng and Andy Dawson experienced his power when there was a ball fight and only referee Mike Dean can explain how Wazza managed to get away with just a yellow card...

W. Rooney loves boxing, but he probably didn't make the wrong choice by pursuing a career as a footballer, not a boxer. In 2015, the striker made headlines in the British tabloids when a video emerged of player Phil Bardsley knocking out Wayne in the kitchen...

A few days after the boxing incident with P. Bardsley, W. Rooney created a legendary goal celebration against "Tottenham" in which he recreated the knockout moment in the kitchen.
Later, the player revealed that this moment greatly amused the then "Man Utd" coach Louis Van Gaal.

W. Rooney was always fearless. This quality was especially evident when he first arrived at the "Man Utd" team, during a trip he dared to interrupt rugby matches on television watched by Roy Keane. Seizing the opportunity, he instead switched on the "X Factor" show and hid the remote control.
Roy Keane's reaction to Rooney's story about turning the rugby off for the X-Factor, then hiding the remote is fantastic 😂😂 pic.twitter.com/HqnUp5Mpy4

In the field, W. Rooney was a real bully and paid no attention to even the greatest authorities on the sidelines, such as Pep Guardiola.

W. Rooney also didn't shy away from conflicts with "Man Utd" manager Alex Ferguson, whom, unlike most players, he was not afraid of and did not hesitate to confront.
In a 2011 show called "The Big United Quiz," the player was asked to depict a scene from the movie "Bend it Like Beckham." Athlete showed how A. Ferguson in the locker room kicked a shoe that hit D. Beckham's face.
Wayne Rooney describing 'Bend it Like Beckham' is one of the funniest things you'll see. Fergie's reaction is priceless

In 2015, during a WWE event, W. Rooney received a slap from wrestler Wade Barrett and did not hesitate to "challenge" an opponent much stronger than him.
"I'll be waiting for you tomorrow at Old Trafford stadium. I hope you have enough courage to show up," the wrestler later wrote on social media. Of course, fans understood that it was all just an act, but this gave W. Rooney another opportunity to color his biography even more.

At one point in the "Man Utd" club, he stood out with an unusual goal celebration when in 2011 at Stamford Bridge stadium he performed a "head dive" combination.

In 2009, in a match against "Fulham," he received a red card and kicked the ball at Phil Dowd, then turned his anger on the corner flag as he walked off.
W. Rooney was also involved in a humorous situation on the field when he got into a conflict with Arsenal's Frenchman Robert Pires and mocked his opponent's beard.

The striker often clashed with field referees, and in a match against Newcastle, just a few seconds after an argument with the referee, he scored one of the most beautiful goals of his career.
Still one of the best Premier League goals ever, seconds after giving the ref a bollocking. Happy retirement, Wayne Rooney pic.twitter.com/HGajTDThVW

W. Rooney also became the face of advertisements, but, unfortunately, no Oscars for his performances were received... He also starred in an "X-Men" promo.
This will always be a classic, Rooney's performance is Oscar worthy 😂 "They say... He is a legend." pic.twitter.com/6YOg119J7v
