"Manchester United" team legend Wayne Rooney is completely calm about his record, wrote lrytas.lt.
The football player holds the record for the most scored goals in the "Red Devils" team. He distinguished himself 253 times, which is four more goals than Bobby Charlton.
The footballer himself claimed that there are only two football players who can improve his record.
When asked about the record, W. Rooney replied: "You can never know. If they acquire someone like L. Messi or C. Ronaldo, then the record could be broken," the footballer answered.
"I think in today's football players don't stay in their teams for long. The only way someone could improve my record is if they stay in the team as long as I did.
"It's a fantastic feeling to leave a mark behind. I left 'United' with very good memories. It was a successful time for the team and a very good time for me," said the Englishman.
