Captain of the English national team Wayne Rooney admitted ahead of the upcoming match with Wales that Gareth Bale is the most dangerous player, but categorically refused to agree that his team is just the last football player.
Today in Group B, two British national teams - England and Wales - will battle each other. Roy Hodgson's players lost points in the first match against Russia, so a victory against Wales is crucial.
"He is a fantastic player, but Wales also has other good footballers," said W. Rooney. "This will not be a game of England against Bale. This will be England against Wales, and in order to win, we must stop several of their players."
"We have the same mentality as we did against Russia. We do not intend to play a different football against Wales. The preparation for the match is the same and it doesn't matter who we play against. We have worked hard in training and are ready to step onto the field," added the forward turned midfielder.
The meeting between the Wales and England national teams in Lens will start at 4:00 PM on LRT.
