Dutch football legend Wesley Sneijder was not a free agent for long - the 33-year-old veteran has signed a contract with the "Ligue 1" champion "Nice" club.
The attacking midfielder became a free agent this summer after mutually terminating his contract with Istanbul's "Galatasaray". W. Sneijder was tempted by teams in the USA and Italy, but the Dutchman decided to try himself for the first time in his career in France.
Upon his arrival at "Nice", W. Sneijder received his favorite jersey number 10. So far, the details of the contract are not disclosed.
Last season, the 2010 World Cup runner-up played 31 matches for "Galatasaray" and scored five goals.
