In the B group match between the national teams of Wales and Iran, there was a real drama.

After a dramatic end to the match, Iran beat Rob Page's team 2-0.

In the 12th minute, Welsh forward Kieffer Moore had a great opportunity to score, but his shot was saved by Hosseini.

In the 15th minute, Ali Gholizadeh sent the ball into the net. However, after a VAR review, it was ruled offside and the goal was disallowed.

Both teams did not create any significant chances in the remainder of the first half.

In the second half, the Iranian footballers looked significantly better.

In the 51st minute, Wales narrowly avoided conceding a goal. In a 15-second period, both Gholizadeh and Azmoun tested the opponent's goal structure.

In the 73rd minute, Ezzatolahi's shot was superbly saved by Wayne Hennessey.

Shortly after, Ben Davies had a dangerous opportunity, but his shot flew just over the crossbar.

Towards the end of regular time, Welsh goalkeeper Hennessey was sent off the field for fouling Mehdi Taremi.

In the added time, Iran extended their lead with a fantastic strike from Roozbeh Cheshmi. Ramin Rezaeian secured the 3 points in the 11th minute of added time.

After this victory, Carlos Queiroz's team briefly moved to the second place in Group B.
