In the World Cup European Qualifiers Group D, the Wales and Ireland national teams played to a 0:0 draw. However, these matches were not remembered for the result - in the 69th minute of the game, Welsh defender Neil Taylor committed a foul against the opponent and received a red card. The tackle from the defender was so strong and dangerous that the falling Seamus Coleman suffered a serious injury - a broken leg. After the match, the Welsh federation apologized to the Irish, and the national team's coach, Chris Coleman, said: "Neil Taylor is not that type of player, but he collided with Seamus heavily. I wouldn't want to see more of these incidents on the field and now all our thoughts are with Coleman. Neil sits in the dressing room with regret and he himself experienced a psychological trauma."
