WC selection: Poles stay in first place in Group E, Scotland defeated Slovakia (VIDEO)

On Wednesday evening, aside from the Lithuanian national team's match against Malta, eight World Cup qualifying matches took place. In the first Group C match, the Czech national team defeated Azerbaijan in an away game and moved up to third place. However, this does not guarantee them a spot in the tournament, as the higher positions will likely go to Germany and Northern Ireland. They played against each other and the Germans secured their ninth victory out of as many possible matches. Sebastian Rudy and Sandro Wagner scored goals very quickly, and at the end of the match, goals from Joshua Kimmich and Josh Magennis resulted in a 3-1 victory for Joachim Low's pupils. Meanwhile, Norway ruthlessly crushed San Marino, scoring a total of eight goals. Mohamed Elyounoussi scored three goals, while Joshua King added two more. Poland, on the other hand, crushed Armenia 6-1 and remained at the top of Group E. Robert Lewandowski scored a hat-trick for our neighbors, with Kamil Grosicki, Jakub Blaszczykowski, and Rafal Wolski each adding a goal. Denmark came from behind to defeat Montenegro away, while Romania defeated Kazakhstan in a match that had no impact on the standings. In the Lithuanian group, Scotland moved up to second place by defeating Slovakia at home. The latter played almost the entire match without the expelled Robert Mak, with Chris Martin scoring the only goal in the 89th minute. Thanks to this, Scotland overtook their opponents from that evening. In another match, Slovenian players also collapsed at the very end, when England's striker Harry Kane scored. They are now trailing Scotland by three points.
