Weekend in England - "Manchester City" vs "Arsenal" match

Matches of the 22nd round of the English Premier League will be played this weekend and on Monday. Football fans are eagerly awaiting the match between "Manchester City" and "Arsenal" on Sunday. These and four other English league matches will be shown on "Viasat Sport Baltic".

The defending champions "Manchester City" footballers (2nd place, 47 points) have recently stumbled. They could not beat Liverpool's "Everton" in the last match (1:1), and won only once in the last three matches. "Arsenal" (5th place, 36 points) players will travel to Manchester after a 3:0 victory against "Stoke City".

Manchester City's team was recently strengthened by powerful striker Wilfried Bony from Ivory Coast's Swansea City club. In January, "Arsenal" also promises new signings. Arsenal's leaders are willing to spend about 20 million pounds sterling for one or two footballers. In mid-April, injured players Mikel Arteta and Mathieu Debuchy plan to return to the field after surgeries.

Last season, in the Manchester City vs Arsenal match at the Etihad Stadium, goals poured in - "cityzens" triumphed 6:3. In the last ten matchups in the Premier League, Manchester's team was stronger in three, London's team in two, and there were five draws.

League leaders Chelsea from London (49 points) will clash with Swansea (9th place, 30 points) away. Mourinho's team recovered from their 3:5 defeat against Tottenham Hotspur by defeating Newcastle United 2:0 in their field. Swansea has not won any of their last three matches.

Intrigue is expected in the match between Newcastle United (10th place, 27 points) and Southampton (3rd place, 39 points). Southampton's club leaders announced that the team aims to reach the top four and play in the Champions League. Southampton has been playing fantastically lately. Ronald Koeman's players collected seven points in the last three matches against English football giants: they defeated Manchester United 1:0 (away), beat Arsenal 2:0, and drew 1:1 with Chelsea.

Southampton's team is unable to overcome the crisis. "Sharks" only celebrated one victory in their last six matches.
