The Russian army, which continues to attempt to occupy Ukrainian territory, has lost a notable figure.

According to various reports, Ukrainians have sent former occupier football team player Aleksey Bugayev to the afterlife.

The 43-year-old Russian had participated in military actions since September of this year.

A few months ago, he was sentenced to nearly ten years in prison for drug smuggling, but soon agreed to exchange his sentence for active combat duty in Ukraine.

During his career, A. Bugayev played for clubs such as Moscow's "Lokomotiv," "Torpedo," and "Tom." In 2004, he participated in the European Championship in Portugal.
