„Kauno Žalgiris“ footballers lost their second match to "The New Saints" team and ended their performance in the UEFA Europa Conference League. Rokas Garastas' players lost the away game with a score of 1:5 (0:3). The first match was lost 0:5, making the total series result a staggering 1:10. In the 9th minute of the game, the opponents had a dangerous opportunity after Choco collided with a rival and fell onto the artificial stadium turf. However, the Kaunas players were saved by the goal frame, which the ball hit. After a few minutes, the hosts still managed to score a goal. Daniel Redmond scored accurately from a distance into the bottom corner of the goal, while Deividas Mikelionis failed to reach the ball - 0:1. In the 20th minute of the game, the hosts doubled their advantage. After breaking free from the pressure of the Žalgiris players and going on a counterattack, the opponents created an opportunity, which was converted by Louis Robles - 0:2. Four minutes later, after a corner kick, "The New Saints" were accurate again - Declan McManus scored a goal - 0:3. The opponents continued to create chances, and the guests attempted several long-range shots, with Michael Thuique even attempting a header which missed. In the second half, the opponents were not as sharp, but they still managed to score a fourth goal. In the 69th minute, the ball conveniently fell to L.Robles in the penalty area, and he kicked it into the goal - 0:4. In the 75th minute, the opponents managed to achieve the same result as in Marijampolė. After a set piece, the ball was redirected into the goal by Daniel Davies. In the 85th minute, the first goal in this series was scored by the Kaunas team. M.Thuique found himself one-on-one with the opposing goalkeeper after a pass from Linas Pilibaitis and did not miss - 1:5.
