The Brazilian defender Rodrigues Naldo signed a four-year contract with Werder Bremen. The transfer fee is not disclosed. The 22-year-old Brazilian is set to replace V. Ismael, who moved to Bayern Munich.
Naldo will wear the number 4 jersey for Werder. The 195cm tall defender arrives in Germany from Brazil's 1st division club "Juventude", where he scored 10 goals in over 70 matches.
The player hopes to make his debut for his new team in the match against Rostock "Hansa" on August 6.
"Naldo will strengthen our team. He is one of the most talented Brazilian defenders," said the club's coach Thomas Schaaf.
