Sunday's two Bundesliga matches were characterized by a turbulent, high-scoring, and dramatic game - a total of ten goals were scored in both matches.
Champions defending title holder Bremen's "Werder" secured their second consecutive victory and climbed to fourth place by defeating "Wolfsburg" on the road, pushing them down to ninth position. The hosts took the lead in the 50th minute after goals from Brdarič and Thiam, but this advantage did not last long as Klose quickly reduced the lead, then Magnin equalized the score after 8 minutes, and Valdez scored the winning goal for the visitors at the end of the match.
Less dramatically but still interestingly, the encounter between "Gladbach" and "Freiburg" unfolded. "Freiburg" unexpectedly took the lead at the start of the match, however the hosts gradually recovered and later scored three goals to secure victory. The new club acquisition Wesley Sonck scored twice for "Gladbach".
