The leaders of the Bremen team admitted that they rejected the offer from Real Madrid for midfielder Mesut Ozil. "We received an insufficient offer, so we will not continue negotiations," said Werder's sports director Klaus Allofs. According to unofficial information, Real offered about 10 million euros, while Werder wants to start negotiations with a club that would offer at least 16 million euros. Ozil's contract with Werder still has only one year left.
